2. Penalty Payments - No Refunds

Important: Penalty payments are non-refundable.

When you set up a goal on LeetLoot, you voluntarily agree to pay penalties if you fail to meet your daily LeetCode targets. These penalties are:

  • Calculated based on your own goal settings
  • Charged only when you miss your targets
  • Clearly communicated before you commit
  • Non-refundable once charged

This no-refund policy is fundamental to our accountability model and is designed to provide real motivation for goal achievement.

3. Why No Refunds for Penalties?

Our no-refund policy for penalties exists because:

  • Accountability: The possibility of losing money is what motivates users to complete their goals
  • Fairness: All users are treated equally under the same terms
  • Transparency: The policy is clearly stated before any commitment
  • Service Integrity: Refunding penalties would undermine the core value proposition

4. Goal Modifications

While we don't refund penalties, we do offer flexibility in goal management:

  • You can modify your daily targets for future dates
  • You can adjust penalty amounts for upcoming periods
  • You can pause or cancel goals (effective the next day)

Note: Changes cannot be applied retroactively to avoid penalties already incurred.

5. Account Cancellation

You can cancel your account at any time:

  • Account cancellation stops future penalties immediately
  • You remain responsible for any penalties already charged
  • No refunds will be issued for previously paid penalties
  • Your data will be retained according to our Privacy Policy

6. Technical Issues

In the event of technical issues that prevent proper service delivery:

  • We will investigate and resolve issues promptly
  • Penalties may be waived if technical problems prevented goal completion
  • Decisions are made on a case-by-case basis
  • We prioritize fair treatment of all users

7. Dispute Resolution

If you believe a penalty was charged in error:

  • Provide detailed information about the disputed charge
  • We will investigate and respond within 5 business days

8. Payment Processing Errors

For payment processing errors (e.g., double charges, incorrect amounts):

  • Refunds may be issued for processing errors only

  • We work with Stripe to resolve payment issues
